  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it RateSonar and paste the address above as the URL.
  4. Under Authentication, choose No sign in. Select Add.
  5. In a chat, turn RateSonar on from + then Connectors.

Works on claude.ai and the desktop app. A Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it in Organization settings first.

ChatGPTOpenAI

Custom MCP servers are a ChatGPT web feature on Business, Enterprise and Edu plans. On Business, an admin adds them.

  2. Choose Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it RateSonar and paste the address above as the Server URL.
  4. Set Authentication to No authentication, confirm, then select Create as a plugin.
  5. Install it, then type @RateSonar in a chat.

The rules it keeps

  • Every rate comes with the day RateSonar recorded it.
  • A day without a record repeats the last rate and says so. It is never called recorded.
  • No named-bank history is drawn before RateSonar's own records start in June 2026.
  • RateSonar takes no applications and no commissions. Your agent sends you to the lender.

Do I need an account or a key?
No. Add https://api.ratesonar.com as an MCP server and your agent can call it at once. Series calls without a key return the last 31 days.
Which AI tools can use RateSonar?
Claude (Claude Code, the Claude app and the Claude API), ChatGPT, Codex, the OpenAI API, Cursor and any other tool that connects to a remote MCP server.
Where do the answers come from?
From rates RateSonar recorded from Australian bank websites and public Consumer Data Right product feeds. Every rate carries the day it was recorded.
Can my agent apply for a loan or open an account?
No. RateSonar only reads recorded rates. It takes no applications and gives no personal advice; your agent sends you to the lender.
