How we compareMedians and limits

Each brand gives its best advertised rate in each comparison, recorded 19 Oct 2026. Savings is the base rate paid monthly, with no bonus, club or special-purpose account; term deposits pay at maturity up to a year and yearly after it. Home loans are owner-occupier, principal and interest, $500,000 at the LVR you pick; a package-only rate is left out.

A spread is a brand’s loan rate minus its deposit rate at the same term and balance, so only brands with both count, and missing is never zero. The medians are of the other brands with both, the chosen bank left out, and need at least three. Advertised spreads show pricing, not a bank’s funding cost, fees or hedges.
